After a hearty breakfast, you leave the Midgard Country Estate and travel to your next destination, the Waterberg Plateau Park, which nestles along the base of the cliffs of the Waterberg Plateau. It towers about 200 m above the surrounding landscape. The plateau, with its sheer cliffs and fascinating rock formations, serves as a breeding area for endangered animal species. Wildlife such as buffalo, black rhino, or sable antelope can be found on the plateau. This afternoon, you explore the bush savannah in an open safari vehicle. An experienced guide will explore with you the nature reserve at the foot of the Waterberg and detect game such as oryx or red hartebeest, kudu, or giraffe. You might even come face to face with a rhino.
The lodge terrace is an ideal spot to relax later this day. A refreshing dip in one of the two spring water swimming pools offers a welcome relief to the hot Namibian afternoon sunshine.
