While it's a small and remote place, it's known for its iconic bakery, where you can stop for a delicious slice of apple pie or a refreshing drink.

The Kuiseb pass offers a stunning drive through the rugged Kuiseb Canyon, with rocky terrain and dramatic landscapes. Keep an eye out for wildlife, as this area is home to a variety of desert-adapted species, such as oryx, springbok, and mountain zebra. Continuing north, you'll eventually reach the Gaub Pass. This pass takes you through the Gaub River Canyon, another picturesque location with stunning rock formations and desert scenery. The winding road offers breathtaking views, and you might spot some wildlife along the way too.

As you approach the coast, you'll reach Walvis Bay, a major port city and a haven for birdlife. This coastal town offers beautiful lagoons, where you can see a variety of bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, and seagulls. As you leave Walvis Bay direction Swakopmund, you'll be treated to stunning coastal scenery. On your left, you'll have the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean stretching out before you. On your right, you'll witness the towering sand dunes. The sight of the sparkling blue water contrasting with the golden sand is truly mesmerizing.

Your destination Swakopmund is a charming seaside town, which offers a unique blend of German colonial architecture and Namibian culture. Stroll along the promenade, visit the local shops and restaurants, and enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze.
